KONY 2012

Today on Facebook, I found myself in tears as I watched this video..

If you haven't seen it before now, I highly recommend you taking thirty minutes to watch it. I hadn't heard of Joseph Kony until this video and I must say, it hit me hard. I am all for supporting and helping needs for our country but after watching this video, I don't know how anyone could not want to help these children in Uganda, Congo, South Sudan, and Central African Republic as well. I can't imagine the fear they live every single day of being abducted by the LRA and more so, the guilt they feel once they've been captured and forced to carry out brutal tasks to sometimes even their own parents or when the girls are forced to become sex slaves. This has got to stop and Kony has got to be captured! Like I said, if you haven't seen this video or heard of him either, please take time to watch and share the word.

Together, we can make a difference! <3h

  1. (this is Aletha) I posted it yesterday on Facebook and then someone commented with a link that is Anti of this group promoting this video. I hate when that happens because now I'm stumped on what to think. The other site is all for capturing this guy but had info that over the years they use a ton of money for the videos and salary and not as much as they should towards 'the cause". I guess I'll have to research it more because now I'm confused.

  3. Aletha, I haven't read anything but good things about it and I've seen a lot of the contemporay Christian groups promoting it as well but if that's true then that really makes me leary about it as well. I haven't done a ton of research on it myself but the video definitely touched me. I really hope they are serious about the capturing of Kony and not so much the financial aspect of it. Thanks for commenting!

Miranda, I watched it once and then listed to it again without watching it and it had the same effect on me as the first time. I was wondering it maybe just the visual piece of it touched me but it was way deeper than that. I really hope it's legit and this guy gets captured!
